Overview
The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Porto (FMUP) is seeking two PhD researchers for fixed-term employment contracts under the MEDGPT project, which focuses on revolutionizing healthcare with ethical AI. The successful candidates will conduct research within the RISE-Health R&D unit, engaging in digital health solutions, health data analysis, and scientific dissemination. Responsibilities include gathering and validating healthcare data, evaluating digital technologies, and contributing to technical project execution. Applicants must hold a relevant PhD and demonstrate solid experience in health data analysis and scientific writing.
What you'll do
- Collect, manage, and analyze health services data using appropriate databases and software while addressing ethical and security requirements.
- Perform data validation, normalization, and integration from diverse healthcare sources.
- Collaborate on the assessment and validation of digital health technologies.
- Conduct systematic literature reviews on methodologies related to project use cases.
- Support the technical, scientific, and dissemination components of the MEDGPT project.
Requirements
Degree required: PhD in Bioengineering, Health Data Science, Clinical or Health Services Research, Medicine, Health Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Microbiology, Psychology or related scientific areas
Language: Portuguese and English; proficiency required for scientific writing and collaboration
Instruction: Portuguese and English
Publications: Experience in writing scientific articles in health
- Experience in health data analysis and/or digital health solutions
- Demonstrated experience in writing scientific articles in health
- Open to national, foreign, and stateless candidates holding a qualifying PhD degree
