Overview

Aston University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position within the Aston Institute for Membrane Excellence (AIME). Funded by a BBSRC Pioneer Award, the project investigates the fundamental principles of mammalian membrane protein folding and biogenesis using dynamic mass photometry (DMP). The successful candidate will employ cell-free methodologies and artificial lipid bilayers to track protein synthesis on ribosomes and visualize insertion and assembly. Applicants are expected to drive research independently while collaborating across disciplines in membrane biology and biochemistry.
