Overview

This PhD position at Mines Paris-PSL focuses on modeling and simulating dissolution, reprecipitation, and accelerated ripening mechanisms at grain boundaries and recrystallization fronts in advanced aerospace superalloys. Run within the host laboratory, the work involves integrating novel interaction mechanisms between second-phase particles and migrating grain boundaries into existing simulation tools. The successful candidate will investigate complex metallurgical phenomena in gamma-gamma prime superalloys to help improve high-temperature performance and component lifespan. The role requires strong numerical modeling skills and active collaboration within a multidisciplinary and international team.
