Overview
UCLA Health is seeking outstanding investigators in cancer biology for a state-funded, full-time faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center is a matrix NCI-designated center that unites researchers across health sciences, basic sciences, and life sciences. Successful candidates will engage in cutting-edge basic, translational, clinical, or population science research. The position offers a highly collaborative environment designed to advance innovative cancer discovery and treatment.
What you'll do
- Conduct independent and collaborative research in basic and/or translational cancer biology
- Secure external research funding to support an innovative scientific program
- Publish findings in high-impact peer-reviewed scientific journals
- Mentor and train graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and junior researchers
- Participate in departmental and university service, including teaching and committee work
Requirements
Degree required: PhD, MD, MD/PhD or equivalent degree
Language: English
Instruction: English
Publications: Proven track record of scientific discovery and peer-reviewed publications commensurate with the target faculty rank.
- Proven track record of scientific discovery in basic or translational cancer research
- Expertise in cancer-focused scientific methodologies
