Overview
The Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy at The University of Hong Kong is seeking a highly motivated Post-doctoral Fellow to join a research team focused on innovative drug delivery systems. The successful candidate will work on the development and characterization of hydrogel-based platforms designed to facilitate the transport of therapeutic peptides across the blood-brain barrier. This role involves experimental design, laboratory-based synthesis, and the evaluation of delivery efficacy in relevant models. Applicants are expected to have a strong background in pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related discipline, with a focus on drug delivery technologies.
What you'll do
- Design and execute experimental protocols for the synthesis and characterization of novel hydrogel delivery systems.
- Conduct in vitro and in vivo studies to evaluate the efficacy of peptide delivery to the brain.
- Analyze experimental data and prepare findings for publication in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to advance project objectives.
- Maintain detailed laboratory records and ensure compliance with safety and ethical standards.
Requirements
Degree required: PhD in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related field.
Language: English proficiency is required for research and communication.

Publications: Evidence of high-quality research output is preferred.
