PhD Position in Developmental Evolution of Caenorhabditis elegans and Other Nematodes
Investigate the evolutionary control of developmental timing in nematodes through experimental biology.
Best for:Best for aspiring researchers with a background in molecular genetics and a strong interest in evolutionary developmental biology.
Overview
The Institute of Biology at the Ecole Normale Supérieure is offering a fully funded PhD position focusing on the evolutionary control of temporal processes, known as heterochrony, during nematode development. The successful candidate will conduct experimental research combining molecular genetics and microscopy within an international collaborative framework. Applicants are expected to hold a relevant master's degree and demonstrate a strong background in developmental biology or evolutionary genetics, alongside excellent proficiency in English. The position is based in Paris and offers a competitive monthly salary with generous benefits.
