Research Fellow in Diet and Male Fertility (Drosophila Model)
Join the Amoyel Lab at UCL to investigate how diet influences male fertility using Drosophila as a model system.
Best for:Best for postdoctoral researchers with a background in developmental biology, stem cell biology, cell biology, or metabolism, seeking to advance their career in reproductive biology and systems physiology using Drosophila as a model organism.
Overview
This Research Fellow position at UCL’s Division of Biosciences offers an opportunity to explore how dietary inputs affect male fertility through a multidisciplinary approach combining genetics, imaging, RNA sequencing, metabolomics, and mathematical modeling. Based in the Amoyel Lab within the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology, the successful candidate will contribute to ongoing research on inter-organ signals regulating testis stem cells in response to nutrient levels. Over time, the role will involve developing independent research projects within the broader theme of systemic physiology and its impact on reproduction. The position is funded by the Wellcome Trust and is based in London, UK, with an inclusive and supportive lab environment.
