Overview
The Instituto Politécnico do Cávado e do Ave (IPCA) is inviting applications for an internal promotion to the position of Principal Coordinating Professor. This role is situated within the Department of Industrial and Product Design at the School of Design. The successful candidate will contribute to the academic and research excellence of the institution in the area of Product Development. This is a permanent, full-time faculty appointment.
What you'll do
- Lead research initiatives within the field of Product Development.
- Deliver high-quality instruction and mentorship to students in the School of Design.
- Contribute to the academic governance and strategic development of the department.
- Engage in institutional service and professional activities relevant to the discipline.
- Supervise advanced student projects and research activities.
Requirements
Degree required: PhD or equivalent
Language: Portuguese (official language of instruction and administration)
Instruction: Portuguese
- Established academic record in Product Development or related design fields.
- Proven experience in teaching and research at the higher education level.
- Ability to lead academic and research projects.
- Strong communication skills in the context of academic instruction.
- Must be an internal candidate eligible for promotion within the institution.
