The Ansari Lab at the University of Texas at Tyler is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to contribute to research on the epigenetic and post-translational regulation of blood clotting proteins. The successful candidate will investigate the mechanisms of thrombosis and inflammation in pathological conditions such as sepsis, viral infections, and cancer. The role involves designing and executing both in vitro and in vivo experiments, including animal models and cell signaling studies. Applicants are expected to contribute to grant proposals, manuscript preparation, and scientific presentations while working within a collaborative biomedical research environment.
What you'll do
- Plan and conduct independent biomedical research on hemostasis, thrombosis, and inflammation.
- Design and execute in vitro and in vivo experiments, including surgical procedures in mice.
- Perform molecular and cellular assays such as Western Blots, qPCR, ELISA, and Flow Cytometry.
- Maintain mammalian cell cultures and perform transfections and transductions.
- Prepare research abstracts, manuscripts for publication, and grant proposals.
