Master in Process, Energy and Environmental Technology
A two-year English-taught master’s programme specialising in sustainable industrial processes, clean energy production, and environmental safety engineering.
Best for:Best for engineering graduates seeking to specialise in sustainable industrial processes, clean energy systems, and environmental safety with hands-on lab and simulation experience.
Overview
This two-year master’s programme at the University of South-Eastern Norway focuses on equipping engineers with expertise in designing, evaluating, and optimising industrial process equipment, clean energy systems, and pollution reduction technologies. Students gain hands-on experience with experimental tools, advanced modelling, and simulation software to address real-world challenges in process safety, energy distribution, and environmental sustainability. The curriculum integrates industry collaboration, guest lectures, and project work with external partners, ensuring graduates are job-ready for roles in public/private sectors or research institutions. International students are fully supported, and exchange opportunities abroad enhance global exposure. The programme also prepares graduates for doctoral studies in Norway or internationally.
What you'll do
- Design and evaluate industrial process equipment units for efficiency and sustainability.
- Develop mathematical models and simulations to optimise energy production and process workflows.
- Conduct experimental studies using advanced laboratory equipment to test process performance.
