Overview

CERIC-ERIC invites applications for a PhD student in Experimental Physics to contribute to the DiMiNe project. The research focuses on exploiting carbon-based semiconductor radiation detectors, including diamond and SiC, for applications in neutron monitoring and spectroscopy. The successful candidate will generate new experimental data, characterize detector performance in mixed neutron-gamma fields, and help develop novel detection systems. Most experimental work will be conducted at the Ruđer Bošković Institute in Zagreb, Croatia, with additional testing at the Budapest Neutron Center in Hungary.
