Post-Doctoral Fellow
Full‑time postdoctoral position in the Yu Lab studying immune regulation of pulmonary vascular disease.
Best for:Best for postdoctoral researchers with strong molecular immunology, physiology, and animal‑model experience.
Overview
The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is hiring a postdoctoral fellow for the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine. The fellow will join Dr. Yen‑Rei Yu’s laboratory to investigate how immune cells control pulmonary vascular remodeling in hypoxia‑induced pulmonary hypertension using animal models and patient tissues. Research combines molecular, cellular, and physiological approaches and will involve mechanistic experiments, data analysis, and manuscript preparation. The successful candidate is expected to work independently, collaborate with the team, and contribute to grant writing and presentations.
What you'll do
- Design and perform experiments using molecular, cellular, and physiological techniques in animal models and human tissues.
- Troubleshoot experimental protocols and develop new methodological approaches as needed.
- Maintain detailed, organized laboratory notebooks and tabulate research data for analysis.
- Interpret experimental results and discuss findings with the PI and collaborators.
- Present research progress at lab meetings, project meetings, and national or international conferences.
- Write and submit manuscripts describing study outcomes to peer‑reviewed journals.
- Assist in the preparation of grant applications and related documentation.
