Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) invites applications for open-rank faculty positions (Assistant, Associate, Senior Associate, or Full Professor) in Artificial Intelligence. What you'll do
- Conduct cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research that integrates AI technology with industrial ecosystem management and innovation strategy.
- Publish high-impact research in leading academic journals and secure competitive external research funding.
- Develop and lead AI training programs, technical executive development initiatives, and industry-collaborative projects.
- Supervise master’s and doctoral students, including guiding dissertations, research practicums, and involving students in research activities.
- Engage in XJTLU’s Syntegrative Education model by fostering deep collaboration with industry partners in Suzhou Industrial Park and beyond.
- Teach and mentor students in an English-medium, intercultural environment.
- Develop and deliver curriculum aligned with CIE’s interdisciplinary focus areas.
Requirements
Degree required: PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related field
Language: English; proficiency required for teaching and research
Instruction: English
Publications: Demonstrable record of academic research and publication in reputable, peer-reviewed journals/conferences (early-career applicants should show evidence of a strong research pipeline)
- Proven academic research and publication record in reputable peer-reviewed journals or conferences
- Experience in teaching at the higher education level

- Excellent communication skills for teaching in an English-medium, intercultural environment
