We seek scholars whose research spans timescales from modern systems to deep paleoclimatic history, leveraging areas such as isotope geochemistry, biogeochemical modeling, chemical oceanography, and critical zone science. The appointee will establish a vigorous, externally funded research program, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and mentor students within a collaborative academic community.
What you'll do
- Develop and lead an independent, externally funded research program focused on geochemical applications to climate and environmental sciences
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Earth, environmental, and planetary sciences
- Advise and mentor graduate and undergraduate students in research projects
- Collaborate with faculty across DEEPS in areas such as analytical geochemistry, paleoclimatology, and climate modeling
- Contribute to departmental service, committee work, and academic governance
