PhD Studentship: Electrocatalysis of sulfur redox in the solid state
Join a leading research team at the University of Nottingham to develop advanced catalysts for next-generation lithium-sulfur batteries.
Best for:Best for candidates with a strong background in chemistry, materials science, or engineering interested in advanced energy storage technologies.
Overview
The University of Nottingham is offering a PhD studentship focused on the interfacial processes within lithium-sulfur battery cells. This project aims to develop innovative catalysts and electrocatalysts to overcome current performance limitations in sulfur redox reactions. The successful candidate will join the Nottingham Applied Materials and Interfaces Group, working alongside experts in synthetic chemistry, electrochemistry, and device fabrication. As part of the Faraday Institution PhD Training Programme, the student will receive comprehensive support to develop skills essential for the future of energy storage and the automotive sector.
