Overview

The Master of Science in Geosciences at Leibniz University Hannover focuses on critical global challenges such as climate change, resource sustainability, and geohazard assessment. Students engage in advanced study across soil/water systems, sedimentary processes, applied geology, and mineralogy/geochemistry, with a strong emphasis on modern measurement techniques and theoretical modelling. The programme is designed for international and German-speaking students, offering flexibility through elective modules and individual research projects. Graduates gain expertise in addressing economic and societal impacts of environmental and geological processes, preparing them for careers in research, industry, or public policy.
