Overview

This PhD project at Université Grenoble Alpes focuses on designing and optimizing modular elementary power converter modules suitable for medium-voltage grids to support global decarbonization and electrification. The researcher will build physics-based or data-driven models to evaluate system volume, operational losses, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Working closely with international partners such as KIT, the candidate will validate these designs against existing hardware implementations. The role requires a strong background in power electronics, electromagnetic compatibility, and electrical CAD simulation.
