Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Embedded Systems
A 3-semester English-taught master’s programme in embedded systems and electrical engineering at Germany’s top-ranked applied sciences university.
Best for:Best for graduates in electrical engineering, electronics, or computer science seeking a hands-on master’s programme with strong industry relevance and English-language instruction in Germany.
Overview
This Master of Science programme at the University of Applied Sciences Ravensburg-Weingarten offers a rigorous 3-semester curriculum in Electrical Engineering and Embedded Systems, delivered entirely in English. Students gain expertise in advanced control systems, communication technologies, signal processing, and embedded computing through a mix of lectures, labs, and hands-on projects. The programme prepares graduates for industry roles or further academic study, including PhD opportunities, while fostering practical skills through integrated internships and research projects. Located in Weingarten, Germany, the programme leverages the university’s strong industry connections and state-of-the-art laboratories, such as the Formula Student and RoboCup teams, to bridge theory and real-world applications.
What you'll do
- Develop and implement advanced control algorithms for embedded systems through hands-on laboratory work.
- Design and test communication protocols for near-field and wireless systems, including sensor-actuator signal processing.
- Apply computational techniques and machine learning to embedded systems for real-time data analysis and decision-making.
- Conduct research projects in areas such as computer vision, radar systems, or digital filters under faculty supervision.
- Complete a master’s thesis in collaboration with industry partners or university researchers, addressing real-world engineering challenges.
- Participate in integrated internships to gain practical experience in industrial settings and expand professional networks.
- Engage in group-based projects, such as Formula Student or RoboCup, to apply theoretical knowledge to competitive engineering challenges.
