Overview

The Neurotechnology Group at ETH Zurich is seeking PhD students to join a newly funded project focused on advancing a breakthrough technology for non-invasive targeted drug delivery to the brain. The project involves developing and translating a novel focused ultrasound-mediated targeted drug delivery platform, which has the potential to treat various neurological disorders. Successful candidates will work on further developing the technology, investigating its therapeutic potential, and contributing to the preparation of first-in-human clinical studies. The project is conducted in close collaboration with several institutions, including the Swiss Epilepsy Clinic and the University Hospital Zurich. The PhD student will be enrolled in the Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering at ETH Zurich and will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and a dynamic research environment. The goal of the project is to establish the technology as a clinically applicable therapeutic platform, and the PhD student will play a central role in achieving this objective. The Neurotechnology Group at ETH Zurich provides a unique research environment that integrates various disciplines, including neuroscience, biomedical engineering, and physics.
