PhD Position in Agentic AI for Resource Management and Resilient Operations in 6G
Develop cutting-edge AI agent coordination methods for next-generation 6G network resilience and resource optimization.
Best for:Best for computer science graduates with a strong background in AI, machine learning, and network systems, eager to bridge theoretical research with industrial applications in next-generation telecommunications.
Overview
This PhD position at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) focuses on advancing AI-driven resource management and resilient operations in 6G networks. The project, part of the Future Network Services (FNS) flagship initiative, involves designing learning algorithms for multi-agent systems to coordinate radio, transport, computing, and service resources under dynamic conditions. The research integrates constrained online learning, distributed learning, and game-theoretic methods, with applications in multi-domain resource management and fault diagnosis. The successful candidate will collaborate with industrial partners to validate methods in real-world 6G use cases and experimental infrastructure, contributing to both academic innovation and practical deployment.
What you'll do
- Develop learning methods for coordinating multi-agent systems in dynamic network environments with incomplete information and operational constraints.
- Design and implement algorithms for multi-domain resource management and resilient network operations, including fault diagnosis and autonomous remediation.
- Collaborate with industrial partners to validate research findings in real-world 6G use cases and experimental infrastructure.
- Conduct experiments using state-of-the-art testbeds to bridge theoretical models with practical applications.
- Publish research findings in top-tier academic conferences and journals, and contribute to the development of 6G PoCs and demos.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and entrepreneurial initiatives within the FNS consortium.
- Engage in doctoral education courses and skill development programs offered by TU Delft Graduate School.
