Overview

The Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge is seeking an experimental researcher to join the NanoManufacturing group. The project focuses on creating architected materials using protein-guided assembly within micro-emulsion templates to reduce reliance on critical minerals in battery cathodes and magnets. The successful candidate will develop scalable droplet generation tools, such as membrane emulsification and ink-jet printing, and evaluate these materials in Li-ion battery applications. This role involves close collaboration with research teams in Cambridge, Liverpool, and the Netherlands, offering a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment.
