Overview

The Department of Biology at the University of Oxford is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to contribute to an ERC Advanced project led by Craig MacLean. The successful candidate will focus on the evolutionary biology of antibiotic resistance, specifically by manipulating the genomes of laboratory and clinical Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates. The role involves investigating the genetic drivers of bacterial adaptation to antibiotic treatment within both simple and complex populations. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the researcher will utilize state-of-the-art facilities in the new Life and Mind Building. This position offers significant opportunities for collaboration with leading researchers across Oxford and Europe.
