Overview

The University of East Anglia's School of Environmental Sciences is offering a fully funded PhD studentship focused on atmospheric science and carbon cycle research. The project aims to establish near real-time top-down quantification of fossil fuel carbon dioxide emissions by combining high-precision atmospheric measurements of carbon dioxide, oxygen, and trace gases like radon. The successful candidate will work closely with academic supervisors, spend time at the UK National Physical Laboratory, and collaborate with international researchers. The ideal applicant will possess strong numerical skills and an interest in climate change dynamics.
