Overview

Radboud University Medical Center is seeking a creative PhD candidate to develop a joint breast imaging system that combines 3D ultrasound and X-ray tomosynthesis. The project focuses on utilizing an ultra-wide ultrasound transducer to acquire 3D ultrasound datasets that improve X-ray data and vice versa. Working within a multidisciplinary team alongside another PhD student focusing on X-ray aspects and various industry partners, the candidate will validate methods using digital and physical phantoms. Expected deliverables include conducting clinical translations, presenting at international conferences, and authoring scientific publications.
