PhD Position in Water-based Assembly of Covalent Materials
Investigate water-based covalent organic frameworks through linker design and advanced material characterization.
Best for:Best for master's graduates in chemistry with strong organic synthesis skills and an interest in covalent organic frameworks.
Overview
The Institute of Chemistry at Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg invites applications for a 3-year, 50% PhD position within the research group led by Jun.-Prof. Frederik Haase. The project focuses on understanding and directing the assembly and disassembly of covalent organic frameworks (COFs) in aqueous environments to enable biological and medical applications. The successful candidate will combine multistep organic synthesis with material characterization techniques such as PXRD, solid-state NMR, FTIR, and TEM. In addition to core research duties, the candidate will contribute to scientific publications, grant proposals, and teaching activities within a vibrant and international research environment.
