Overview

This PhD position at the Laboratory of Physics and Materials within the École Supérieure de Physique et de Chimie Industrielles de Paris (ESPCI Paris) investigates quantum transport in elemental metals. The project challenges the traditional semi-classical classification of Sondheimer oscillations by building on recent findings of empirical scaling in cadmium crystals. The successful candidate will conduct high-precision experimental work to explore other elemental metals, generating essential input for an updated quantum theory of these oscillations. The researcher will be supervised by Dr. Kamran Behnia within a collaborative and experimentally driven research group.
