PhD: Reinventing Microspeakers with 3D Ultrasonic Modulation
Develop innovative 3D MEMS microspeakers using ultrasound demodulation to improve electroacoustic efficiency.
Best for:Best for graduate engineers with a strong background in MEMS, acoustics, or microfabrication seeking a cutting-edge experimental PhD.
Overview
This PhD position focuses on the design, fabrication, and experimental validation of an innovative MEMS microspeaker concept based on ultrasound demodulation at Université Grenoble Alpes (LETI). The project explores an alternative architecture using vertical blade structures to overcome the limitations of conventional planar micro transducers. The successful candidate will engage in physical modeling, multi-physics simulation, microfabrication process development, and experimental electroacoustic characterization. The work takes place in a multidisciplinary research environment bridging acoustics, microsystems, and device innovation.
