Master of Forests

The Master of Forests at The Australian National University offers a comprehensive exploration of forest ecosystems and their critical role in planetary health. Students examine the complex challenges of deforestation, forest degradation, and the integration of forests into climate change adaptation strategies. The curriculum covers diverse management perspectives, including those of Traditional Owners, state agencies, and the private sector. Participants will gain insights into sustainable practices across plantation, farm, and urban forestry contexts. This programme prepares graduates to contribute to the reimagining of forest conservation and the development of renewable forest-based materials.
