Doctoral Researcher in Molecular and Cellular Cancer Immunology
Join a dynamic research team at the University of Luxembourg to investigate tumor-immune interactions using advanced 3D models and high-throughput data analysis.
Best for:Best for candidates with a strong background in immunology or molecular biology and a keen interest in cancer research and data analysis.
Overview
The University of Luxembourg is seeking a motivated doctoral researcher to join the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine. This position focuses on the intersection of molecular biology and cancer immunology, specifically investigating cellular interactions via extracellular vesicles. The successful candidate will employ both wet-lab techniques, such as patient-derived 3D models and immune co-cultures, and computational analysis of high-throughput datasets. The role involves active participation in the doctoral training program, contribution to scientific publications, and collaboration within an international, multidisciplinary research environment.
What you'll do
- Conduct wet-lab research utilizing mouse models and cancer patient samples.
- Develop and apply patient-derived 3D models and immune co-cultures to study cellular interactions.
- Analyze high-throughput biological datasets using R or similar software tools.
- Document experiments thoroughly in a lab book to ensure reproducibility.
- Present research findings at internal meetings and scientific conferences.
- Contribute to the drafting of scientific reports, grant applications, and peer-reviewed publications.
- Participate in institutional activities including seminars, PhD days, and mentoring.
- Engage actively in the structured doctoral training program.
