MSc in Bioinformatics & Computational Genomics
Interdisciplinary master’s programme applying AI, machine learning, and computational methods to biological and clinical big data.
Best for:Best for graduates in natural sciences, computer science, or medical/biological fields with a passion for data-driven healthcare solutions and computational genomics.
Overview
This master’s programme at Queen’s University Belfast integrates mathematics, statistics, and computer science to analyse biological and clinical datasets. Students will develop algorithms and software tools to interpret patient-derived big data, bridging the gap between computational techniques and healthcare applications. The curriculum emphasises hands-on problem-solving, with a focus on genomics, medical data analysis, and AI-driven insights. Applicants should have a strong foundation in natural sciences, mathematics, or computer science, along with proficiency in English. An online aptitude test is a mandatory part of the selection process.
