Overview

The Elisabeth Salzer Group at the St. Anna Children's Cancer Research Institute in Vienna is offering a PhD position focused on human lymphocyte development and pediatric cancer. The research combines induced pluripotent stem cells, advanced thymus and bone marrow organoid systems, and CRISPR-based genome engineering to study childhood leukemia and inborn errors of immunity. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative, international environment alongside clinicians and translational researchers. The role involves designing and optimizing organoid models, conducting genetic screens, and preparing research findings for publication.
