Overview

The Species Interactions and Ecosystem Health group at ETH Zurich offers two fixed-term doctoral positions within the SNSF Starting Grant project AniCaRes. The researchers will examine the critical role of animals in tropical forest restoration and carbon sequestration through field experiments, molecular approaches, and ecological modeling. Doctoral Position 1 focuses on seed dispersal and seedling establishment in Panama, while Doctoral Position 2 investigates herbivory and seedling survival in Brazil. Successful candidates will collaborate internationally, conduct extensive fieldwork, and contribute to scientific publications.
