Post-Doctoral Associate in the Center for Brain & Health
Join a multidisciplinary team at NYU Abu Dhabi to investigate the neural mechanisms of cognitive processing speed.
Best for:Best for cognitive neuroscientists with strong expertise in neuroimaging data processing and multimodal data analysis.
Overview
The Perception and Active Cognition laboratory at New York University Abu Dhabi is seeking a Post-Doctoral Associate to explore the neural correlates of mental processing speed. The successful candidate will analyze functional and structural MRI data, alongside co-registered fMRI and EEG/MEG measurements, to understand how processing speed relates to brain health and various clinical conditions. This role involves working within a diverse, multidisciplinary team of scientists and students to integrate behavioral, genetic, and clinical data. Applicants are expected to drive research projects that translate neural findings into a broader understanding of cognitive health outcomes. The position offers a competitive benefits package and the opportunity to work in a world-class research environment.
What you'll do
- Lead research projects investigating the neural mechanisms underlying cognitive processing speed.
- Process and analyze complex functional and structural MRI datasets.
- Integrate simultaneously acquired fMRI and EEG/MEG measurements for multimodal analysis.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, including PhD-level scientists and students.
- Synthesize behavioral, genetic, and clinical data to evaluate health outcomes.
- Prepare research findings for publication in high-impact academic journals.
