Overview

The Physics of Biological and Complex Systems programme is a research-oriented doctoral track offered by the Göttingen Graduate Centre for Neurosciences, Biophysics, and Molecular Biosciences (GGNB). In collaboration with the Max Planck Institutes for Multidisciplinary Sciences and for Dynamics and Self-Organisation, the programme focuses on the quantitative and molecular understanding of life processes. Students engage in interdisciplinary research ranging from biomolecular structure and dynamics to pattern formation in complex biological systems. The curriculum is designed to overcome traditional disciplinary barriers, providing advanced training in microscopy, quantitative physical approaches, and synthetic strategies.
