Postdoctoral Scholar in Cancer Biology and Tumor-Microenvironment Interactions
Join the Singla Lab to investigate treatment resistance and tumor-microenvironment dynamics using advanced cancer models and molecular biology techniques.
Best for:Best for postdoctoral researchers with expertise in cancer biology, molecular biology, and advanced cell culture techniques seeking to advance translational cancer research.
Overview
The Singla Lab at the University of Central Florida’s College of Medicine is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to explore treatment resistance and tumor-microenvironment interactions in cancer models. This role focuses on developing innovative cancer models, including 3D culture systems and organoids, to uncover underlying biological mechanisms. The successful candidate will conduct cutting-edge research, publish findings, contribute to grant proposals, and present work at national conferences. The lab emphasizes independent research, project leadership, and mentorship of lab members in a collaborative and supportive environment.
What you'll do
- Develop and utilize advanced cancer models, including 3D culture systems and organoids, to study tumor-microenvironment interactions.
- Conduct functional studies to identify mechanisms of treatment resistance in cancer models.
- Perform molecular biology and cell biology experiments to analyze biological processes.
- Author scientific manuscripts and assist in drafting grant proposals.
- Present research findings at local and national conferences.
- Lead independent research projects and troubleshoot experimental challenges.
- Train and mentor lab members in research techniques and methodologies.
