PhD Fellowship in Emulsion Polymerization Process Development
Explore fundamental mechanisms in emulsion polymerization using microfluidic techniques and theoretical modeling.
Best for:Best for chemistry graduates with a strong background in polymer science, experimental skills, and an interest in combining microfluidics with computational modeling.
Overview
This PhD position at the Basque Center for Macromolecular Design and Engineering (POLYMAT) focuses on advancing the understanding of emulsion polymerization processes, a critical industrial method for producing polymer latexes. The project, conducted in collaboration with a leading global producer of emulsion polymers, aims to leverage microfluidic techniques and theoretical modeling to uncover key insights into surfactant-driven processes. The successful candidate will conduct experimental studies and develop computational models, contributing to both academic knowledge and industrial innovation. The fellowship offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of polymer science and advanced experimental methods in a multidisciplinary research environment.
