Overview

This PhD project investigates the experimental study of ultracold dysprosium atomic gases, utilizing their unique high-spin structure to advance quantum simulation and metrology. Based at the prestigious Laboratoire Kastler Brossel at École Normale Supérieure Paris, the candidate will examine non-classical spin dynamics to generate entangled states and study topological phases driven by synthetic gauge fields. The successful applicant will engage in all phases of the experiment, from daily apparatus operation and optical system design to data analysis and theoretical interpretation. The position provides a collaborative research environment working closely with experimental physicists on operational quantum gas setups.
