Overview

Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking a dedicated postdoctoral researcher to design and optimize dense working fluids specifically for superhot geothermal applications. The selected candidate will select appropriate chemical components and systematically refine formulations to withstand rigorous experimental conditions of at least 375 °C and 22 MPa. The successful applicant will lead formulation decisions, conduct quantitative laboratory experiments, and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary research teams. This onsite appointment is offered for an initial duration of two years, with potential extension into a third year depending on performance and available funding.
