Overview

This PhD position at CEA-Leti, within the Université Grenoble Alpes, focuses on the mechanical performance of solid-state micro-batteries. The research aims to understand how mechanical stresses influence battery behavior during charge and discharge cycles, which is critical for applications in IoT and medical implants. The successful candidate will develop experimental test benches to apply pressure and measure deformations, while simultaneously building a mechanical model. This work will ultimately contribute to the design of new layers to enhance the mechanical durability of micro-storage technologies.
