Overview

The AMASE programme is a collaborative European Master’s degree in Advanced Materials Science and Engineering, jointly offered by Saarland University and five partner institutions across Germany, Sweden, France, Spain, Austria, and Italy. Students complete a two-year curriculum (4 semesters) with courses in material structure, characterisation, processing, and specialised tracks such as metallic materials, polymers, smart surfaces, processing technologies, and nano/biomaterials. The programme emphasises interdisciplinary learning, language training, and international mobility, with mandatory internships and a Master’s thesis. It is designed for graduates in materials science, physics, chemistry, or related engineering disciplines seeking a globally recognised qualification in advanced materials research and development.
