Overview

The Global Studies Programme (GSP) is a prestigious, interdisciplinary Master of Arts degree offered by the University of Freiburg in collaboration with international partner institutions. Over four semesters, students engage with sociology, political science, anthropology, and human geography to analyse the complex dimensions of globalisation. The curriculum is designed to provide both theoretical depth and practical methodological training within a research-led framework. Students study at three different locations globally, fostering intercultural competence and a nuanced understanding of transnational interdependencies. The programme culminates in an international internship and a final thesis.
