Overview

This PhD position is part of the BEST Doctoral Programme at the University of Toulouse and will be conducted at the Centre for Integrative Biology (CBI) in Toulouse, France. The project focuses on investigating how modulation of X chromosome gene dosage influences cellular senescence, a key process in aging and disease. Under the supervision of Estelle Nicolas, the candidate will leverage advanced techniques in molecular biology, genomics, bioengineering, and bioinformatics. The project includes a 6-month international collaboration with the Stem Cell Epigenetics Lab in Lisbon, Portugal, where the candidate will gain expertise in human embryonic stem cell manipulation. The CBI, affiliated with CNRS and the University of Toulouse, provides a dynamic environment for interdisciplinary research spanning molecular to organismal scales.
